PBI-Gordon Corp. is extending its October end-user early order program deadline for customers in Southeastern states affected by hurricanes Michael and Florence.

North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia and Virginia will have until Nov. 30 to take advantage of the maximum rebate allowed for their specific purchases.

Horizon Distributors acquires Turf & Garden

Louisiana-based Horizon Distributors, a full-service distributor of irrigation and landscape products, acquired Turf & Garden, a wholesale supplier of landscape products, irrigation, lighting and power equipment with four stores in southeastern Virginia and the Outer Banks, N.C. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The National Association of Landscape Professionals(NALP) announced that the Leaders Forum, its executive-level education and networking event, will be held at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa & in Aruba, Jan. 24-26.

GIE+EXPO boasts another record-breaking year

The 2018 GIE+EXPO, held Oct. 17-19 in Louisville, Ky., topped the last four years’ events in both attendance and exhibitors.

More than 24,700 people from around the world attended, representing a 3 percent increase over 2017, and the indoor show floor and outdoor demonstration area boasted 1,000 exhibits, making the 2018 GIE+EXPO the largest ever and one of the largest trade shows in the U.S.

McHale Landscape Design acquires Green Gardens

McHale Landscape Design—a high-end residential design/build landscape contractor operating in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia markets—acquired Green Gardens. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

For more than 50 years, Green Gardens has offered residential landscape and maintenance services to  clients in northwest D.C., Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac and McLean, Va., as well as multiple estates in upper Montgomery and Frederick counties.

A definitive purchase agreement was finalized in September 2018.
